Big Wins for Superstar Junior Kart Racer Tazio Torregiani

Still four years shy of legally being allowed to get behind the wheel of a race car, Tazio Torregiani of Stamford, Conn., hasn’t let age hold him back from his need for speed.  For over six years the 12 year-old junior racing phenomena has been winning junior kart racing events nationwide.  This season has been no exception for Tazio, who recently triumphed at the WKA Divisional New Jersey Spring Series in South New Jersey. During his most recent racing triumph, Tazio was able to achieve a first place finish by stealing the lead from the rest of the pack with just a couple turns until the finish line.

Inspired by his father, a former race car driver himself now retired, Tazio boasts an undeniable passion and talent for kart racing. The determined young driver spends most of his free time training year-round at tracks like Grand Prix NY (GPNY) in Mount Kisco.  During the winter months, Tazio pushes especially hard at the indoor tracks of the Grand Prix racing facility. The racing karts at GPNY give Tazio the additional practice and training needed during the off season in the winter months. The number of wins under Tazio’s belt shows that hard work and practice do pay off. bThe ambitious young speed-demon says he hopes to eventually become a Formula 1 driver some day.
